Filler places material in the lips to change volume or definition. A lip flip uses a wrinkle relaxer to change muscle activity around the upper lip.
It does not add filler volume. Discuss how each option could affect your smile, lip movement, and everyday comfort before deciding.
Neither option is automatically suitable for every person.
A volume goal and a smile goal are different
Someone who likes their lip volume but notices the upper lip looks smaller in a smile is asking a different question from someone who wants fuller lips at rest. Explain which situation applies to you. Ask the injector to compare the options, including their risks, rather than assume the same treatment fits both goals.
